MPs work to inform the world community about the realities of Azerbaijan, including the Khojaly genocide, during their visits to foreign countries and at events of international organizations, video conferences on the pandemic. In this regard, Milli Majlis fully and effectively uses the opportunities of the working groups on relations with the parliaments of foreign countries.
Ahead of the 29th anniversary of the tragedy, the heads and members of the working groups on relations with foreign parliaments inform their colleagues about the Khojaly genocide and call on them to take a fair approach to the genocide, the parliament's press and public relations department told Report.
"In recent days, online meetings held with inter-parliamentary friendship groups of Jordan, Israel, Mexico, Peru, Afghanistan, Estonia, Indonesia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other countries have brought the Khojaly genocide to the fore. The aim is to convey the truth about this genocide to the public of more countries and achieve an adequate legal and political response to the tragedy by national parliaments. We believe that the perpetrators, who killed civilians, will soon be brought to justice," the parliament said.
