Milli Majlis approves privileges for those with journalist's card

The privileges for those with a journalist's card have been determined in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

They were reflected in the new bill "On Media", which was discussed in the third reading at today's plenary session of parliament.

So, the reporters with a journalist's card have the following privileges:

1. to get free access to state and municipal museums, galleries, as well as facilities where cultural and social events are held to fulfill their journalistic activities;

2. to be accredited by state bodies (institutions), enterprises and organizations, non-governmental organizations;

3. to search, obtain, transmit, produce and disseminate mass information on important events, and to enter the places where such events are held, if they are accredited in line with Article 72 of this Law;

4. to enjoy the benefits and privileges envisaged in Articles 76.1.2-76.1.5 of this Law.

The bill was put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
