Milli Majlis adopts bill on Shusha in first reading

At today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis, the bill "On the cultural capital of Azerbaijan - Shusha" was adopted in the first reading.

According to Report, the bill was presented by the chairperson of the parliamentary culture committee Ganira Pashayeva.

The new bill consists of 15 articles. Thus, Shusha City State Reserve is established within the administrative boundaries of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. The draft law submitted to the Parliament for discussion includes the main directions of the state policy in Shusha; legal regulation in the territory of Shusha and its protection zone; restoration, protection, study, use, and promotion of monuments; environmental protection; construction, architecture, and urban planning activities in Shusha; organization of transport; housing fund management; entrepreneurship, advertising, tourism, and other activities. It will also regulate the conduction of international events in Shusha and some other vital issues.
