Deputy Speaker: ‘Staying strong in the face of insidious intentions against Azerbaijan requires firm civic stance’

"Staying strong in the face of insidious intentions against Azerbaijan requires firm civic stance, regardless of one's political position," Fazail Ibrahimli, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations, said speaking at the public hearing on "Strengthening the Parliament-NGO cooperation", Report informs.

According to him, the sharp claws extended against Azerbaijan are known to everyone: "As long as Azerbaijan was not the winner, everyone emotionally supported our territorial integrity as an oppressed state. However, we could not get any results for 30 years. Today, as a victorious country, Azerbaijan demanded its rights and restored its borders. After the victory, some states that hate Azerbaijan are in a state of hysteria. It is common knowledge that great powers are behind the misfortunes that have befallen Azerbaijan so far. We were able to preserve our statehood and identity at the expense of the victims. We fought one-on-one with Armenia in the Patriotic War and won. Therefore, it is necessary to preserve the successes we have achieved."
