The Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network on "Strengthening the Role of National Parliaments in Promoting Peace and Sustainable Development in the World" kicks off today, Report informs.
The event will be attended by parliamentary delegations from more than 40 countries and representatives of 9 international parliamentary organizations.
The three-day meeting will adopt the Baku Declaration and the Charter on the Rules of Procedure of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, approve the organization's official logo and flag, and select the organization's chairman and vice-chairpersons.
The conference participants will also visit the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, including the cultural capital Shusha, and get acquainted with the construction and landscaping work there.
