Azerbaijani speaker meets Romanian PM

Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has met with Romanian Prime Minister Ion-Marcel Ciolacu as part of her official visit to this country, Report informs referring to the public relations and press department of the parliament.

At the meeting, the prime minister of Romania spoke about Azerbaijan's important role in ensuring the energy security of the EU.

He noted that there are good opportunities to strengthen transport links between the Black and Caspian Seas. Ion-Marcel Ciolacu noted the importance of projects in the field of green energy, saying that Europe currently has a serious need for green energy, and the issue of its export from Azerbaijan is of great importance.

In turn, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova noted that relations between the two countries are at a good level, and the trade turnover is growing. In addition, there is enormous potential for increased cooperation in various fields, she said.
