Azerbaijani parliament adopts next year's budget envelope in 2nd reading

The draft law "On the state budget for 2022" was discussed in the second reading at today's plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis), Report informs.

After discussions, the bill was adopted.

Next year Azerbaijan's state budget revenues and expenditures are estimated at 26.816 billion manats and 29.879 billion manats, respectively. Compared to the approved forecasts for 2021, these figures show a 5.4% and 4.7% increase, respectively. As a result, the budget will have a deficit of 3.063 billion manats, which is 1.7% less than a year ago.

Tahir Mirkishili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship, is presenting the state budget for the next year.
