Azerbaijani parliament discussing amendments to 2023 state budget

At the plenary meeting of the Milli Majlis held today, the draft law amendment "On the 2023 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was discussed in the first reading, Report informs.

The project is presented by Tahir Mirkishili, chairman of the Parliament's Committee on Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising.

According to the information on the main parameters of the revised 2023 state budget, the revenues of the state budget will amount to 33,779.5 million manats ($19.9 billion), and the expenditures to 36,568.8 million manats ($21.5 billion). The deficit of the state budget will be 2,789.3 million manats ($1.6 billion).

The revenues of the revised 2023 consolidated budget are predicted to be 42,949.1 million manats ($25.3 billion), while expenditures are predicted to be 41,213.9 million manats ($24.2 billion). Although the consolidated budget is projected with a deficit of 4,943.6 million manats ($2.9 billion), a surplus of 1,735.3 million manats ($1.02 billion) will be formed due to additional revenues of 6,678.9 million manats ($3.9 billion).
