At today's meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament, the draft amendments to the country's Tax Code were discussed in the second reading, Report informs.
Up to 20,000 manats of financial assistance provided to the families of those martyred in the Great Patriotic War and to service members and civilians with disabilities due to military operations will be exempt from income tax.
Under another amendment to the Tax Code, the income from the cancellation of debts of persons martyred or wounded in the Great Patriotic War to banks and other credit institutions will be exempted from tax.
According to the first reading of the draft amendments, up to 10,000 manat of financial assistance to the families of martyrs of the Great Patriotic War, service members, and civilians with disabilities due to military operations would be exempt from income tax.
Following the discussions, the draft amendment was put to the vote and adopted in the second reading.
