Annual report of national coordinator for combating human trafficking presented in Azerbaijani Milli Majlis

The annual report of the national coordinator for combating human trafficking for 2024 is being presented in the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan.

Report informs that the document was discussed at today's joint meeting of the Human Rights Committee and Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the parliament.

The annual report is being presented by Hazi Aslanov, Head of the Directorate for Combating Human Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The report was prepared based on the information of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ombudsman's Office, the Bar Association, international institutions, 20 non-governmental organizations, 32 central and 69 local executive authorities, as well as structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and territorial police bodies, as well as monitoring and analysis conducted by a special police body, in order to ensure the implementation of Article 7.5 of the "Bill on Combating Human Trafficking", as well as the measures taken jointly with relevant state bodies, civil society institutions and international partners, ensuring continuous monitoring of the operational conditions in the relevant field, protection of persons belonging to the risk group from the aforementioned crimes, and full coverage of victims with physical, psychological and social rehabilitation measures.
