On April 8, the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan held an expanded board meeting with the participation of senior officials of the Defense Ministry, the State Border Service, the Interior Troops of the Interior Ministry, and the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription for Military Service.
As the press service of the Military Prosecutor's Office told Report, the participants in the board meeting honored the memory of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, with a minute of silence and wished the veterans recovery.
Addressing the board meeting, Deputy Prosecutor General - Military Prosecutor, Lieutenant General of Justice Khanlar Valiyev noted that crimes in military service are decreasing annually. In particular, in comparison with 2020, violations of subordination in 2021 decreased by 6%, violations of statutory relationships between military personnel in the absence of subordination relations between them - by 42.4%, cases of evasion from military service - by 25%, violations of the rules for handling weapons and objects that pose an increased danger to others - 20.8%, abuse of official position - 17.6%, intentional grievous bodily harm - 25%, suicide cases decreased by 12.5%.
The military prosecutor also noted that in the first quarter of 2022, there were no registered crimes related to causing grievous bodily harm, violation of the rules for handling weapons and objects that pose an increased danger to others, and negligent attitude to service.
