Way to Jabrayil's freedom: We fought for seven days in Nuzgar village

One of our heavy battles was in the direction of Jabrayil's Nuzgar village. Here we fought with the enemy for seven days. Etibar Boziyev, a Land Forces (Commando) soldier of the Ministry of Defense, told Report.

He said that when the 44-day war began, he served as a re-enlistee in the intelligence unit of the "N" military division of the Ministry of Defense:

"When the war started on September 27, two groups of our unit joined the attack from the 'Vilayat' post in the direction of Lalatape and from the area called 'Yasti Tapa' in the Fuzuli district according to the order of the higher command. I was moving together with the group that attacked the enemy in the direction of 'Yasti Tapa'. Heavy battles took place here, we took control of the ruling height. The goal was to take full control of the territory. Then we continued to move forward to complete the combat mission. At the beginning of October, we entered the battle in the direction of the Jabrayil district. On October 2, around 4 am (GMT+4), we entered Guyjaq village of the Jabrayil district. We destroyed a large number of units of the Armenian armed forces and cleared the village of the enemy. Later, we received an order from the command, and we moved toward the Dashkasan village of the Jabrayil district. They had a regiment here. It was one of our most heavies battles, and we routed the enemy. On October 4, we liberated the city of Jabrayil from the enemy. Although the Armenians wanted to counterattack, our artillerymen destroyed them together with their equipment through accurate fire, as the surrounding heights were under the control of our army. The enemy was powerless in front of us, throwing away their weapons and running away.

"Our next destination was the Hadrut settlement of the Khojavend district. After liberating this place from the enemy, we moved forward - we went to Tugh of Khojavend, Boyuk Taghlar, Topkhana forest of Shusha, and the city of Shusha."

Boziyev said that during the Patriotic War, they had martyred and wounded comrades:

"During the battles, two of our soldiers - Fuad Maharramli and Aghababa Abbasov were martyred. One of our heavy battles was in the direction of Jabrayil's Nuzgar village. Here we fought with the enemy for seven days. It was difficult to break through because they had consolidated their positions for years. But despite this, our army destroyed the enemy's trench. We also had losses here. Two Su-25 fighters of the enemy took off in the Jabrayil battles. Our army destroyed one of them at that time, and the other ran away from the area."

Boziyev remained in the army even after the Patriotic War. He is currently serving in the commando military unit No. "N" of the Land Forces of the Ministry of Defense: "Although there are difficulties here, our training continues. We have been provided with a very high level of conditions. At the moment, our physical strength is good, we are ready at any moment to carry out all the orders of the Supreme Commander. We are always prepared to fight against the enemy who has an eye on our lands and wants to cause provocations."

Boziyev noted that Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev awarded him for his heroism in the Patriotic War: "For distinguishing in battles, I was awarded the medals 'For the liberation of Jabrayil', 'For the liberation of Fuzuli', 'For the liberation of Khojavend', and 'Participation in the Patriotic War'."
