Turkish National Defense Minister says Turkey closely watching cases of ceasefire violation

"We are closely watching the cases of ceasefire violation by Armenian armed forces in the liberated lands and all events related to it," Turkey's Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar told Report's local bureau.

The minister said that the Azerbaijani and Turkish heads of state and foreign ministers hold close discussions in his connection.

"The heads of state - Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev, as well as me and respected Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov, continue our contacts round-the-clock. We are closely watching the cases of violation of ceasefire in the liberated areas, and our demand and wish is that Armenian military-political leadership put an end to such cases to make it possible to establish peace and tranquility in the region," he said.

Hulusi Akar said Azerbaijan and Turkey always take necessary steps to ensure peace and prosperity in the region.

"In this sense, the cases of ceasefire violation do not benefit anyone. Turkey stands and will stand by Azerbaijan and support its just cause. No one should have any doubt that we will continue this support to the end," the minister added.
