On May 27, a delegation led by the Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the guests were welcomed by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.
After the welcoming ceremony, the Minister of Defense and the leadership of the Ministry met with the Turkish delegation.
Akar congratulated the Azerbaijani people on Independence Day. He emphasized the importance of holding the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in Baku, as well as joint exercises.
The sides discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye in the military, military-technical, military-educational, and other fields.
