Over 6,500 landmines neutralized in Azerbaijan’s liberated lands in 2024

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has issued annual information about humanitarian demining operations carried out in the country’s liberated territories in 2024, Report informs.

Thus, 2,372 anti-tank mines, 4,256 anti-personnel mines, and 59,163 unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralized.

Also, 62,023 hectares of land were cleared of mines.

Demining operations were executed by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the State Border Service (SBS), and four private companies.
