Media tour to Azerbaijan's liberated territories organized for Turkish, local journalists

On April 6, under the organization of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, another media tour was organized for a group of Turkish and local media representatives to get familiarized with the activities of the Azerbaijani Army in the liberated territories, Report informs, citing the ministry.

As part of the visit, media representatives first watched the demining process of the liberated territories in interaction with the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) and the practical use of the Turkish MEMATT (Mechanical Mine-Clearing Equipment).

Media representatives were informed that since the Patriotic War, which ended with the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army, its engineering units have cleared an area of up to 29,000 hectares, and 23,230 mines buried by the Armenian servicemen, as well as unexploded ammunition remained since the period of military operations, have been found and neutralized.

Exemplary combat training of artillery units was demonstrated to the journalists within the framework of the media tour.

The journalists watched the activities of military personnel, filmed and interviewed the servicemen.

The servicemen expressed their satisfaction with the created conditions and expressed pride in serving in the liberated territories.
