Head of Donetsk region announces statistics of liberated areas - EXCLUSIVE

The advance of Ukrainian troops and the liberation of territories continues, Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, told Report.

"After the liberation of the Kharkiv region, the liberation of the Donetsk region was set as a goal, and 43 settlements in the region have been liberated,” he said.

According to Kirilenko, the area is extremely dangerous:

“However, the territorial communities of Svyatohorsk and Lyman were completely liberated. Currently, the stabilization works are being completed, the life in those communities is being restored, destroyed houses are being protected, and winter preparations are being made. The most difficult situation is currently in the direction of Bakhmut and Avdiivka. Now fierce battles continue, and the enemy attacks in the direction of Bakhmut and tries to break through the defenses but fails in its object.”

Kirilenko noted that firing continues along the entire front line. The enemy is shelling towns and villages: “In general, there is a problem with the electricity supply across the country, as the enemy is firing at important infrastructure facilities. As for Donbas, the situation is extremely complicated. Electricity and mobile communications have been partially restored in the liberated communities. In Svyatohorsk and Lyman, mobile communications have been restored, food products are imported, and pensions are paid through Ukrposhta. People also receive one-time assistance from international partners."
