Lviv Oblast is actively involved in forming military units in Ukraine during the war. More than 20,000 people have already been mobilized and enlisted in the Ukrainian army, the Lviv Oblast Governor Maksym Kozytsky told Report.
“We are building a defense chain here. We are ready to meet and fight the enemy,” he said.
Kozytsky noted that the Lviv region has become a humanitarian hub since the beginning of the war: “Our main task is to help everyone in need. We do our best to make the people who escaped the war feel safe here. To date, more than 400,000 people have been resettled in the Lviv Oblast. We provide them with food and a place to sleep," he said.
The governor also reminded that the International Peacekeeping and Security Center in the Lviv Oblast was recently attacked with missiles: “Missiles were fired. Even though the air defense system was activated. However, people were killed and injured. Our goal is to win and show the whole world that we can withstand the attack,” he stressed.
Commenting on the death of 180 people in the Lviv region, Kozitsky said that this information does not reflect the truth: “All this is the work of Russian propaganda. Russia is fighting with lies and fraud.”
