Azerbaijani serviceman injured by mine near Armenian border

An Azerbaijani serviceman was injured by a mine near the conditional border with Armenia, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense.

According to the information, today around 12:00, while performing military duties near the Sadarak district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the conditional Azerbaijani-Armenian border, Azerbaijani army serviceman Salmanov Ziyad Ilgar oglu was wounded after stepping on an anti-personnel mine.

After receiving first medical aid, the wounded serviceman was immediately evacuated to a military medical facility. His life is not in danger.

An investigation is being conducted regarding the incident.
