The 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum has been held in the capital city of the People's Republic of China, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
Delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Director General Mr. Agil Gurbanov paid a working visit to China to participate in the forum.
First, the bust of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was visited at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China, flowers were arranged and his memory was commemorated with and reverence.
Then the Azerbaijani delegation participated in the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.
Gurbanov met with Minister of National Defense of the People's Republic of China, Admiral Dong Jun in the forum attended by Ministers and other officials from over than 100 countries, as well as official delegations from regional and international organizations. The Director General expressed his gratitude for the invitation.
Within the working visit to China, the Director General also met with the head of the Central Military Council's Department of Cooperation on Weapons, Military Equipment and Technology and heads of companies included in the State Defense Industrial Complex.
The meetings discussed the current situation and prospects of military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
