Azerbaijan, Nigeria mull military-technical cooperation

Cooperation in the military-technical field between Azerbaijan and Nigeria was discussed, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Defense Industry.

On the second day of the IDEF-2023 International Defense Industry Exhibition held in Istanbul, Türkiye, Deputy Defense Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev met with Nigerian Defense Minister Ibrahim Abubakar Kana.

At the meeting, the current state of relations between the two countries in the military-technical field and prospects for future cooperation were discussed.

Later, the technical director of Baykar company Selcuk Bayraktar and the Chairman of the Defense Industry Directorate under the President of Türkiye Haluk Gorgun visited the stand of the Ministry of Defense Industry. During the visit to the stand, Deputy Minister Vugar Mustafayev and Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the Main Department for Military-Technical Support Agil Gurbanov met with the guests.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the development of existing cooperation and other issues of interest.

In the end, a gift was presented to Selcuk Bayraktar.
