Armenian sabotage group tries to cross border into Azerbaijan

On April 23, at about 18:00 (GMT +4), a sabotage group of the Armenian Armed Forces attempted to cross the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border passing through the Zangilan region, Report informs, citing the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the measures taken by the Azerbaijani State Border Service, the entry of the sabotage group into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented, and the saboteurs were forced to retreat.

“The State Border Service regards this incident as a provocation by the Armenian side against the establishment of delimitation commissions between the countries and the related work. Representatives of the Federal Border Service of the Russian Federation in Armenia have been informed about the provocation of the Armenian side. If this happens again, we will take more severe measures,” the State Border Service said in a statement.
