Training program of 16th group at Report Media School completed

The training program of the 16th group of the Report Media School operating at the Report Information Agency has been completed, Report informs.

Thus, certificates were presented to 10 journalists who learned the secrets of the journalism profession in the agency, prepared news, interviews, reportages, investigative articles, video stories, photo reports, and participated in monitoring and surveys.

The director of the Report Information Agency, Fuad Huseynaliyev, who met with the graduates, said that he was satisfied with the results of the group members.

"Generally, the graduates are remembered for their good performance. There was no significant difference between the scores of the two students to whom we gave distinction certificates and the results of the others. One of the graduates is currently working as a social media manager in the agency's Multimedia department. We can say that the group produced a successful result in terms of preparing news."

Head of Report Media School, trainer Ismayil Rafigoghlu, emphasized that the graduates showed a model of behavior suitable for modern journalism:

"This time, the members of the 16th group of Report Media School were able to demonstrate their special operational skills in preparing news. They prepared news quickly and on the spot about every event and meeting that took place."

Several leading journalists of Report met with students. Interesting trainings and meetings were held with the editor-in-chief Murad Aliyev, deputy editor-in-chief Emil Guliyev, editor of the sports department Kanan Hasanov, editor of the economics department Namig Huseynov, employee of the multimedia department Javid Osmanov, employee of the internal department, and teacher of the journalism faculty of Baku State University, Kanan Novruzov.

The situation of journalism and literature was discussed at the meetings with speech and communication specialist Zaur Jahangirov, editor at Oxu.az Ulviyya Gulmammadova, editor-in-chief of Baku.ws Azad Aliyev, poet, writer, and publicist Agshin Yenisey, well-known writer and translator Saday Budagli, editor-in-chief of Sharg newspaper Akif Ashirli.

The trainer noted that several important events were held together with the students of the Report Media School: "We visited the "Gadim Gala" Publishing House at the invitation of the director of the Gadim Gala Publishing House, Shohlet Ikhtiaroglu, and the Press Council at the invitation of the Chairman of the Press Council, Rashad Majid. We watched ‘Anamin kitabi’ (My Mother's Book) by Jalil Mammadguluzadeh in English at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater."

Report Media School has been operating since June 13, 2018. The purpose of the media school is to train professional personnel in the field of media in Azerbaijan, to convey the modern trends used by the world press to young journalists, to reveal the potential of those who are interested in the profession of journalism and want to work in this field, and to ensure the increase of practical knowledge and skills in the profession. So far, dozens of young people have graduated from Report Media School. Those young people work in various media institutions in the country.
