Training of "MEDIA volunteers" starts at Report Media School

As part of the Media Development Agency's MEDIA Volunteers program, eight young journalists joined an internship program at the Media School of Report News Agency.

Director of Report News Agency Fuad Huseynaliyev informed about the agency's activities at a meeting with MEDIA Volunteers: "The main task of the Report Agency is to obtain initial information and deliver it to the public. Our news is spread more widely through other platforms because we do not provide unverified information."

Huseynaliyev said that working for a news agency means going to the first source of news: "The responsibility for the information is enormous here. The agency must ensure the accuracy of the news. In the coming days, as Media Volunteers, you will be able to observe the agency's work, the tension in the newsroom."

According to the head of the Report Media School Ismayil Rafigoglu, the journalist is formed in the information environment: "You can observe the processes taking place in the agency through the transparent glass that opens from the Report Media School to the newsroom. As soon as there is hot news, the editorial office seems to come to life. To be a real journalist, you have to gain experience."

The MEDIA Volunteers project is implemented by the Media Development Agency of the Azerbaijani Republic. The project aims at more effective use of young people's potential within the framework of media development projects, creating conditions for active participation of young people in all spheres of society, enriching their practical knowledge, stimulating creative and innovative potential, and expanding the media volunteer movement across the country. The project was launched in September 2021.

As part of the MEDIA Volunteers program, 18 young journalists in two groups will participate in a two-week internship program at the Media School of the Report News Agency.
