Paris restaurants face visitor drought despite Olympic games

Parisian restaurants, including those owned by Turkish entrepreneurs, are experiencing a significant decline in visitors, as the much-anticipated influx of tourists for the Olympics has failed to materialize, despite extensive preparations by local businesses.

According to Report, which cites Haber Global, entrepreneurs had been actively gearing up for the expected arrival of 15 million tourists in the city during the Olympic period. Restaurants increased their seating capacity and hired additional staff to accommodate the anticipated surge in customers. However, their efforts have been in vain, as the Olympics have not managed to attract the expected number of visitors to Paris.

Restaurateurs have noted that typically, the end of July and August mark the peak tourist season in Paris. However, this year has seen a sharp decline compared to previous years.
