New training program completed at Report Media School

The training program of the 8th group of the Report Media School, operating at the Report Information Agency in a new format, has been completed.

The agency presented certificates to seven journalists who prepared news, interviews, reports, research articles, videos, photo reportages, learned the secrets of the journalism profession, and participated in monitoring and surveys.

Director of the Report Information Agency Fuad Huseynaliyev said at a meeting with the graduates of the Report Media School that this educational process was helpful:

"I hope that you have mastered the secrets of the journalism profession during this time, at least a little bit. We have noticed that the students of the Report Media School work in various media outlets of the country. In a few years, you will probably meet young members of the Media School as experienced journalists."

According to the head of the Report Media School Ismayil Rafigoglu, it was not so easy to achieve a successful result:

"The demand for more intensive influence on the international information market has significantly increased the interest in foreign languages. For the first time in this group, we organized teaching in Russian, and we are satisfied with the result. Kirill Vyshinsky, executive director of Rossiya Segodnya media group, Mikhail Voskresensky, a special photojournalist from Russia, Anar Azizov, director-general of Interfax-Azerbaijan news agency, Namig Mayilov, editor-in-chief of Region Plus magazine, Tofig Hasansoy, host of AzTV's "Telesəhər" program, Digital marketer Gunay Jafarli and head of the Russian edition of Report Kamala Mustafayeva were guests of the Media School."

Ismayil Rafigoglu stressed that there were several other interesting events:

"Host Javid Osmanov gave a master class on Fundamentals of Reporting and photographer Jalil Rzayev gave a master class on photography. A very interesting meeting was organized with the People's Writer of Azerbaijan Natig Rasulzade. Although the People's Writer said that he had not joined such a small audience for a long time, he was pleased that the graduates of the Media School were acquainted with his work and had read his works."

Report Media School started functioning in June 2018. Its main aim is to train specialists in the media sphere in Azerbaijan, bring the modern trends used in global media to journalists, discover the potential of those keen on journalism and increase their practical knowledge and skills in the sphere. Dozens of young people have graduated from the Report Media School and now work at different media structures of the country.
