NCTR reveals shortcomings on air of state TV channels

The monitoring of broadcasts of the state-funded TV channels revealed certain shortcomings, a report of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting (NTRC) for 2021 states, Report informs.

Throughout the year, the department of expertise, programming, and analysis under the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Company carried out regular monitoring of the republican TV and radio broadcasters operating in the territory of the country.

Under Article 32.0.10 of the Law "On Television and Radio Broadcasting", state and public television and radio broadcasters must allocate at least 20 minutes a month for educational programs, show public service announcements about HIV prevention, and ensure that these programs are broadcast at a more convenient time. During the monitoring, it was revealed that broadcasters do not fully comply with this requirement of the law.
