Natella Osmanli: Media leader should always monitor news flow

Natella Osmanli, the editor-in-chief of Baku TV RU/ Baku TV International, a renowned PR technologist, journalist, blogger, and writer, recently shared her insights on the intricacies of editorial work with students at the Report Media School.

Osmanli underlined that a media leader should constantly monitor the flow of news. "An editor works 24/7, with no time for rest. They can receive a call at any moment. Journalism doesn't adhere to a 9 to 6 work schedule. You are always in pursuit of news," she emphasized.

The journalist also touched upon the topic of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. "Our society is more prepared for establishing a dialogue with Armenians. Nationalism is not a characteristic inherent to Azerbaijanis. A significant number of representatives from other nations reside within our country's territory. This has formed a tradition of ethnic and cultural diversity in Azerbaijan," she noted.

Natella Osmanli was born in Baku in 1982. Her first novella was published in the collection "From a Woman's Perspective" in 2004. In 2010, her book from the "Lollipop" trilogy was published, which included several of her novellas. Her second collection, "Black Mulberry," was published in 2013.

She later worked as a presenter, blogger, and journalist. For a long time, she worked as a PR technologist. Since 2021, she has been working at Baku TV and currently heads the channel's Baku TV RU / Baku TV International editorial offices.
