Turkish Haber Global TV made a program on the speech delivered by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the first session of the 7th convocation of the Milli Majlis on September 23, Report informs.
Haber Global highlights the President's warning to Armenia and the Western countries that arm it, as they struggle to accept Azerbaijan's historic victories. President Aliyev delivered critical messages, recalling the restoration of the country's sovereignty following the Second Karabakh War and anti-terror measures, emphasizing the new opportunities created, and outlining the targets and priorities for future activities.
"The number one priority is to increase our military strength," the President stressed. "Although the Second Karabakh War and the anti-terror operation are now in the past, the processes going on in the world, new conflicts, the emergence of war zones and the increase of tensions around us, at the same time, the revengeful tendencies in Armenia compel us to keep this area in the spotlight at all times."
President Aliyev pointed out the discrepancy between the Pashinyan government's words and actions, mentioning the armament of Armenia by Western countries, particularly France. He emphasized that new provocations from Yerevan are expected at any moment.
"Foreign circles unable to digest our Victory are preparing new plans against us. This is exactly the purpose of the media campaign, the aspersion, libel and defamation campaigns," the President warned. "Armenia and any country behind it should know that it will not be possible to talk to us in the language of blackmail and ultimatums. We are prepared, capable and always ready to give an answer."
The Azerbaijani President stated that Armenia does not actually want peace, it wants to bide time and use this time to build up its military potential with the support of its foreign patrons. He also spoke about France, which openly supports Yerevan and conducts a smear campaign against Azerbaijan.
"Armenia gets free weapons from France. Those arming Armenia should bear in mind that they will be directly responsible for all future developments, and naturally, official territorial claims against us should be stopped. Their constitution should be amended and the Minsk group should be abolished," President Aliyev stressed.
