Employees of Haber Global and Baku TV receive international awards

The winners of the 27th ZOOM International News Footages Competition were announced on Saturday at the Khazar Media Center.

Report informs that Haber Global Television and Baku TV, which are part of Global Media Group, as well as their employees were among those awarded.

CNN Turk operator Bugra Benlioglu and Haber Global TV reporter Murat Karatas, who reported on the danger at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant during the Ukrainian war with the news titled “Chernobyl”, were awarded the prize in the special news category. Also, Haber Global TV was awarded a special award by the Association of Turkish News Operators for its support to the development of friendly relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Haber Global reporter Mehmet Altunısık, who prepared material on the Russian-Ukrainian war titled "Traces of the War", was also awarded the prize.

In addition, Haber Global tv reporter Hasan Uylas and his cameraman companion, who prepared a report titled "My Family Hatay" despite the loss of his family as a result of the Hatay earthquake, were awarded a special prize by the jury.

Baku TV employee Elgun Humbatov was among the recipients of a special award for the news titled “Turkish ambassador performs namaz in Kalbajar”.

In total, about 160 video reports were submitted to the competition.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Association of News Operators of Türkiye Aytekin Polatel, Deputy Chairman of the Association Ahmet Akpolat, Representative of the Association for Azerbaijan Iskender Gambarov, Board Members Ibrahim Buyukkerman, Mehmet Riza Marufoglu, Mustafa Soybas, and Mustafa Kara.
