Azerbaijan’s historical city Shusha marks Remembrance Day

The Remembrance Day has been marked in Azerbaijan’s historical city of Shusha in Karabakh, Report informs, citing Haber Global TV channel.

Well-known Turkish journalist Murat Karatas informed about events held in Shusha and said that the residents watched the address of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the nation on the Day of Remembrance on a monitor installed in the city square.

The correspondent also reported about a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Govhar Aga mosque.

Murat Karatas said that both Turkey and Azerbaijan observed the minute of silence simultaneously and this event was also marked at Shusha’s Flag Square: “The liberation of Shusha brought Armenia to its knees. The rescue of Shusha glorified Azerbaijan,” the Turkish journalist added.
