Azerbaijan, Albania ink MoU on media collaboration

Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency hosted a meeting with Alteo Hysi, Director General of the Media and Information Agency of Albania, where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties, Media Development Agency told Report.

During the meeting, Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of Media Development Agency emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences between media-related organizations and media entities, implementing joint projects, and establishing long-term mutually beneficial cooperation. He also highlighted the necessity of strengthening efforts to combat disinformation and increase media literacy.

Alteo Hysi, in turn, expressed his gratitude for organizing the meeting and stressed that establishing effective and beneficial partnerships will enable joint measures to address current challenges in the information sphere and facilitate the application of new media formats. He also touched upon the importance of sharing effective practices in this field.

The meeting was also attended by Anar Huseynov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Albania.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency and the Media and Information Agency of Albania envisages various forms of cooperation, including sharing best practices in the field of media and communication, exchanging information and experiences, expanding partnerships on initiatives and projects of mutual interest and benefit, and promoting mutual visits of officials and experts responsible for the relevant field.
