Baku to host European Day of Languages

On 26 September, Embassies and cultural institutes of 16 European Union and Council of Europe Member States, in cooperation with Azerbaijani partners, will mark the 2022 European Day of Languages by organizing a public reading of poems and short stories in various European languages and the translations of these works of European literature into Azerbaijani, Report informs.

The 2022 European Day of Languages celebration and the first Literature Night in Baku are organized by the EUNIC Azerbaijan Cluster, established in February 2020, to bring European and Azerbaijani cultures closer together.

The public reading involving students of Baku-based European language and culture centers will begin at 15:00 at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in Baku.

On the same day at 20:00, the European Day of Languages celebration will continue with the first Literature Night in Baku. This evening event, co-organized by the Latvian and Czech Embassies and the EU Delegation in Baku, will take place at Orange Grove.
