Zakharova: ‘We regularly engage in settlement in South Caucasus along various lines’

“On a regular basis, we deal with the topic of normalizing relations and settling in the South Caucasus along various lines,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, Russian bureau of Report informs.

“You see activity at the highest level, meetings of the leadership, how the ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia work, we have special representatives on this issue. Our embassies and experts work on a daily basis. The process itself is underway, and the meetings are either the final stages of the process, or giving a start to certain undertakings,” she said.

She stressed that the economic bloc is now working with the participation of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.

“We are well aware that under the guise of moderators and mediators are those who do not want peace and stability in this region,” Zakharova concluded.
