Baku. 6 December. REPORT.AZ / It is necessary to continue work on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and Europe Aaron Wess Mitchell said.
Report informs that he spoke at the annual meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers in Milan.
According to him, Russia creates a tense situation in the region, not respecting its obligations to the OSCE: "We observe this position in Georgia and Moldova. It continues to occupy Georgian lands and does not withdraw its troops from the territory of those countries, thus protracting conflicts and deepening the division in the region. Meanwhile, we should also continue our efforts for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."
