The Karabakh region of Azerbaijan has seen many positive changes since its liberation from occupation, traveler from Ukraine Orest Zub told journalists, Report informs.
“I was here two years ago, so I can better understand what is happening and compare the process of construction and restoration work. It’s amazing how quickly and effectively the restoration of these areas is going on,” he noted.
In addition, the traveler especially noted the importance of solving the landmine problem.
“This is a very serious concern for the whole world. Obviously, this is one of the most destructive consequences of wars. The international community must help in demining as quickly as possible, because it is extremely dangerous for people. I am from Ukraine, and I understand the tragedy of this situation,” noted the traveler.
The group of 50 people, led by famous traveler and NomadMania club leader Harry Mitsidis, includes participants from the US, Canada, Switzerland, the UK, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Poland, Finland, Norway, Spain, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Singapore, Australia and other countries.
It is expected that travelers will be in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan from November 4 to 6, following the Fuzuli-Khojavand-Shusha-Kalbajar-Lachin-Zangilan-Jabrayil-Aghdam route.
Over the past two years, eight trips have been organized to Karabakh and East Zangazur in an expanded composition of delegations, the main international networks of global travelers, such as ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania, Turkish Travellers Club and others.
Such trips help promote black tourism.
