Ukrainian channel: Azerbaijan faces years of work to restore territories destroyed by Armenians

TSN, one of the biggest TV channels in Ukraine, has prepared a report on the destroyed mosques and cultural monuments, thousands of hectares of mine-strewn territories of Azerbaijan liberated as a result of the Patriotic War, Report informs.

Speaking about what she saw in Karabakh, the journalist of the TV channel drew parallels with Ukraine, where the war against Russia that attacked it has been going on for almost a year.

Those who came to the liberated territories, shocked by what they saw - the complete devastation and ruins left after almost 30 years of occupation, called the once flourishing largest city of Karabakh Aghdam the “Hiroshima of the Caucasus.”

“Throughout all these years, Armenia, not without the participation of Russia, held the territories of Azerbaijan and slowly destroyed all the sights, cultural and historical monuments. There were about 70 mosques throughout Nagorno-Karabakh, but only 3 of them survived. The Armenian invaders turned them into stables,” says the author.

The report shows what happened to Aghdam, where about 30,000 inhabitants once lived and 20 different enterprises operated. One of the former residents of the city tells what is left of his once flourishing and vibrant city - the drama theater, monuments and all residential buildings are destroyed. However, he believes that soon everything will return to normal.

The authors of the story also talked about the demining of the liberated territories, the construction of new villages, where the once expelled residents are gradually returning. An important result of the war was the restoration of the full-fledged borders of Azerbaijan in the south with Iran, all these years being uncontrolled and open to all kinds of illegal trafficking.

At the end, the Ukrainian journalist hopefully says that the peace and tranquility that has come to Karabakh will soon come to Ukraine, which, like Azerbaijan, will have years of work to recover after repelling Russian aggression.
