Turkic Council demands withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azerbaijani lands

The Secretary-General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev expresses deep concern about the military confrontation in the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Report informs citing the press service of the organization.

It is noted that the Turkic Council reaffirms its adherence to the norms and principles of international law and declares the importance of an early settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict based on the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of the internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

"In this regard, the Turkic Council, based on the relevant UN Security Council resolutions adopted in 1993, demands an immediate, unconditional and complete withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from all the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Secretary-General expresses condolences to the Azerbaijani people connected with casualties and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded, "the message says.
