TRT World, a Turkish public news channel, has prepared a report about the protests on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
In the program, the TRT correspondent reports from Shusha that the protesters are holding banners and chanting slogans, calling for the protection of nature and the cessation of illegal exploitation of deposits in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, which inevitably damages the environment in the region.
The Turkish journalist also stressed that despite the rally, vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Russian peacekeepers temporarily deployed in these territories frequently move along the Lachin road without hindrance.
The protests against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Karabakh on the Khankandi-Lachin road have been going on for 32 days.
