Political scientist: Provocation against Azerbaijan is another problem for Pashinyan

"Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan posed many problems for himself," head of Atlas Research Center and political scientist Elkhan Shahinoghlu told Report  commenting on Armenia's provocation in the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border."

Firstly, the unsuccessful fight against coronavirus, and secondly, the opposition, which began to group against Pashinyan after the release of his main rival from prison. And finally, he staged a provocation against Azerbaijan, creating another problem for himself, since the Azerbaijani army did not leave this aggression unanswered," he concluded.

The political scientist noted that the time has come to launch an anti-terrorist operation in the direction of Karabakh: "Since the president himself, speaking at a government meeting, said that the negotiations were not yielding any results. There were two unsuccessful online conferences between foreign ministers. Why was a need for such a step? Why was the fight against coronavirus discussed there?"

Moreover, Shahinoghlu stressed that the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh remains unsolved over the past period.

"Nikol Pashinyan visits the occupied Shusha and holds so-called "inauguration" ceremony there, which is all provocation. I hope that our new minister will start a strict negotiation process with his Armenian counterpart and the OSCE Minsk GROUP co-chairs," the political scientist concluded.
