Peskov denies reports about increase of peacekeepers in Karabakh

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov denied information about the increase in the number of peacekeeping forces in Nagorno-Karabakh. Additional aid is arriving there for the joint interdepartmental humanitarian response center established in the region. According to the Russian Bureau of Report, Dmitry Peskov told reporters at a briefing.

"There are so many issues that have been aggravated due to the war. The humanitarian center is doing just that," Peskov explained.

The presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia, and the Prime Minister of Armenia signed a joint statement. According to the agreement, the full ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh came into force on November 10.

Russian peacekeeping contingent consists of 1,960 military personnel, 90 armored personnel carriers, and 380 vehicles. Special equipment is being deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone to monitor the ceasefire and the army operations.
