NGO representatives start visit to Shusha

Delegates of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in Azerbaijan have begun a visit to the liberated city of Shusha.

More than 130 NGO representatives took part in the visit organized by the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations.

They will visit the Saatli, Ashaghi Govhar Agha, and Yukhari Govhar Agha mosques in the city and see the shot monuments of famous Azerbaijani culture figures Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli in the central square of Shusha. The delegation will get acquainted with other material and cultural memorials, administrative and residential buildings that Armenians savagely destroyed for about 30 years.

Afterward, the area with the remains of Panahali Khan's palace, the Mehmandarovs' mansion complex, as well as the repair work carried out at the Gazanchy Church will be inspected.

Representatives of NGOs will also get acquainted with the landscaping and construction work implemented in Shusha.

The NGO representatives are accompanied by Vusal Guliyev, a senior official of the Presidential Administration and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Agency for State Support to NGOs.
