Bocharov: Myth of a "great and invincible" Armenia has been destroyed

Today, Armenia is on the verge of civil war. It always happens when people see the real face of the government.

Israeli political expert Yuri Bocharov told Report.

"In this case, the myth of the great and invincible Armenia is again destroyed. After the defeat in the war, a moral trauma was added to the human drama in the form of thousands of dead soldiers - the capitulation signed by Armenia and, in fact, deportation. Former occupiers in the form of refugees will bring chaos and new devastation. All of this will lead to a power struggle. Well, if by parliamentary means, but with so many weapons in the hands of the population and various paramilitary groups, it is unlikely that everyone will be offended by peaceful means," the political scientist said.

Moreover, the expert does not rule out clashes since Armenia calls to review and even cancel the signed agreement.

"So the peacekeepers, as well as the Azerbaijani armed forces, will have a lot of work to do in the liberated territories. Therefore, soon, it will worsen in Armenia, and all this will be connected with Azerbaijan. After all, it would help if you always had an external enemy to cover up your failures.

Under the puppet regime to which Pashinyan belongs, it is unlikely that events could have developed in a different direction. A nominal leader, even if elected legally, cannot make fateful decisions for the country, without looking at their sponsors," he said.

"So the peacekeepers and the armed forces of Azerbaijan will have a lot of work in the liberated territories. Therefore, soon, it will get worse and worse in Armenia, and at the same time, all this will spill out on Azerbaijan. After all, to cover up their failures, an external enemy.

Under the puppet regime to which Pashinyan belongs, it is unlikely that events could have developed in a different direction. A nominal leader, even a legally elected one, cannot make fateful decisions for the country without looking back at his sponsors, "he said.

Yuri Bocharov claims that Pashinyan has been rushing between the West and Russia for a long time and has finally failed.

"I think it will not even come to retirement and he will just run away, the only question is where to Rostov-Don or Washington, although as events show, they are dissatisfied with either here or there. The question is, who will take his place and where Armenia will go. Much depends on this in the region. It will not be tomorrow, but in the meantime, Azerbaijan will have to protect its legitimate territories and the peace it wants to build in the region," the political scientist concluded.
