Musicians from Turkey, US devote song to Karabakh's liberation

'Many years ago' is a new song by Turkish composer Turgay Evren and it is dedicated to the liberation of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan from years of Armenian occupation.

Report informs, citing the Anadolu Agency, that the composition performed by American singer Della Miles was posted on Twitter and Youtube on May 8 to commemorate the tragic events of 1992, when Armenian troops invaded the pearl of Azerbaijan - the city of Shusha in Karabakh.

"Armenians committed much lawlessness and crimes against the peaceful residents of Azerbaijan, including women and children. The pain of Azerbaijani people has for many years been reflected in my heart too," Evren told the Anadolu Agency. He said he decided to devote a song in English to Karabakh's liberation to inform as many people as possible around the world about the South Caucasus realities.

He said he wanted other countries to hear about Karabakh too. Evren discussed the song with Della Miles, who supported the idea, and they completed the melody together. He added that the arrangement was made by Ali Tolga Demirtaş.
