The drills held within the Azerbaijani Army showed that whenever the Supreme Commander-in-Chief commands, the army is fully ready to fulfill the order, MP Eldar Guliyev told Report.
He commented on the Azerbaijani Army's holding large-scale operational-tactical exercises from May 18 to 22.
He said that the Azerbaijani Army is equipped with new weapons, modern ammunition, and supplies each year. "Moreover, the army holds large-scale military exercises every year, which is a significant step for a country in a state of war. The enemy regularly violates the ceasefire, firing at our positions and civilians. Therefore, the army must continue to hold exercises to be prepared for all situations," Guliyev said.
The MP stressed the enemy is horrified by the combat readiness of the Azerbaijani Army.
"Each time they observe the exercises, they are assured that Azerbaijan stands ready to free its lands from occupation. The April battles also showed that we could clear large territories off the enemy within 2-3 days. The drills lift the fighting spirit of soldiers, officers, and even young people who are going to join the army," he said.
"We have constant relations with the Ministry of Defense. The army is undergoing major reforms, conducting exercises for a constant high level of combat capability of personnel, educating specialists who have mastered the knowledge and skills of our time," MP Guliyev emphasized.
Under the plan approved by the Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army will hold large-scale operational-tactical exercises from May 18 to 22.
The exercises will involve up to 10,000 military personnel, 120 tanks and armored vehicles, 200 missiles and artillery systems of various caliber, multiple launch rocket systems, and mortars, up to 30 army, and frontline aviation, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles for numerous purposes.
During the exercises, issues of combat readiness, planning, and comprehensive support of operations, the interoperability of headquarters of various types and branches of troops will be worked out, and the firing and maneuvering capabilities of the shock troops created under the conditions of the exercises will be checked.
The practical actions of the troops will be inspected in various training centers and at training grounds.
