Mongolian ombudsman: Int’l community shouldn’t remain silent about ecology violations in Karabakh

In order to preserve nature and create a sustainable environment, the whole world must be in solidarity. The international community shouldn’t be silent about violations of natural laws and ecology in Karabakh, Khunan Jargalsaikhan, chief commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (Ombudsman) of Mongolia, told the Ankara bureau of Report after the international conference “The Future of Human Rights in the 21st Century” held in Turkiye.

Emphasizing that, first of all, human rights organizations should not remain indifferent to the facts of environmental terror committed by Armenia on Azerbaijani lands, the ombudsman noted that at this international conference he also spoke about nature protection and solutions to environmental problems.

"I heard the speeches of my Azerbaijani colleagues about the violation of human rights on the lands that rightfully belong to Azerbaijan, and as a human rights activist, I condemned the perpetrators. All over the world, it is necessary to comply with international standards and not violate human rights, and human rights organizations, first of all, should not remain indifferent to this," the ombudsman said.
