MFA: Armenian Foreign Minister's statements on friendship with Muslim countries are absurd

"The statements of Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan during his visit to Egypt are a clear indicator of the hypocrisy of the representative of a country that subjected hundreds of thousands of Muslim Azerbaijanis to bloody ethnic cleansing and expelled them from their homes. Armenia exterminated 613 civilians in Khojaly overnight just because they were Azerbaijanis and Muslims and destroyed Muslim heritage in Azerbaijan's occupied territories and plundered mosques."

Report says, citing press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

"Armenia, which ideological basis of state policy stands for terrorism, widely used terror operations against Azerbaijan in the late 1980s and early 1990s. At least 2000 civilians were killed due to more than 30 terror acts, accompanied by the explosion of passenger buses, trains, and Baku metro in Azerbaijan.

It is a well-known fact that Armenia, which widely uses terrorist means in the annexation of Azerbaijan's Nagorno Garabagh region and seven surrounding regions, has recruited terrorist mercenaries from foreign countries, especially from the Middle East. Armenia's real face, which later glorifies these terrorists at the state level, is the example of Monte Melkonian, one of the leaders of the ASALA terrorist organization and a direct terrorist who was directly involved in the occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
In 1970-1980, ASALA and other Armenian terrorist organizations committed more than 235 terrorist acts in 22 countries. Twenty-four Turkish diplomats have fallen victim to Armenian terrorism.

Against the background of all these facts, the Foreign Minister of Armenia's statement about friendship and close cooperation with Muslim countries, regional and global security is nothing but nonsense.
.
"We strongly reject aggressor Armenia's false and absurd claims and statements, and demand that the country complies with the UN Security Council resolutions of 1993, and numerous resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan," the Foreign Ministry said.
