Korotchenko: "Armenians purposefully razed Aghdam to the ground"

“We have been to the Aghdam district. The city was razed to the ground, and this was done purposefully. There are only minefields around. Of course, in terms of international law, this is the wildest war crime of the Armenian command. The only building that survived is a mosque. It survived because for the Armenians it was a military object. This again contradicts all existing norms that determine the rules of warfare,” military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko told Report's Russian bureau, commenting on his visit to the Aghdam district as part of the Russian delegation.

The expert also noted that in addition to the destroyed cities, Armenia left minefields: “The requirements for the transfer of the maps of minefields in the territories previously occupied by Armenians are absolutely fair and proceed from humanitarian considerations. New highways are being laid on the previously occupied lands, transport infrastructure is being created, new airports are laid. The main part of the work has begun and is under development.”
