On April 24, a poster with the hashtag # ЭтоВамНеАрмавир (This is not Armavir) was posted at the monument to Nazi collaborator Garegin Ter-Harutyunyan better known by his nom de guerre Garegin Nzhdeh in Azerbaijan’s Khojavend district, Report informs referring to the Caucasian Bureau Telegram channel.
Under the same hashtag, discussions are taking place in social networks on the recent news that the Armenians of Karabakh will have to dismantle this monument on Victory Day, May 9 under pressure from Russian peacekeepers.
“The purpose of hanging this rag with a hashtag next to the monument of another rag is a hint of the campaign by the Communist Deputy of the Armavir City Duma Alexei Vinogradov, who in 2019 painted a memorial plate to Nzhdeh with black, eventually achieving its demolition. Thus, a hint was sent to Russian peacekeepers – this is not Russia, you will hold the Victory Parade over fascism under the shadow of the monument to the fascist accomplice,” the Telegram channel notes.
