ICESCO director-general: Rapid development of Karabakh shows Azerbaijan's commitment to rebuilding region

The construction of new roads and buildings in Karabakh that has been done over a very short period of time shows the commitment of the leadership of Azerbaijan into rebuilding and helping the region and the people who have suffered over the past 30 years, Director-General of the ICESCO Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik told Report.

He noted that ISESCO was the first international organization that visited Shusa, Fuzuli and Aghdam, in the region of Karabakh after the 2nd Karabakh War.

"So today I will be going to Karabakh. We will be inaugurating Shusha as the cultural capital of Islamic world. I know that many conferences, many forums took place in Karabakh. But the most beautiful thing is that the people of Karabakh and the people of Azerbaijan and the people of the Islamic world are all happy that this part, this region is back to Azerbaijan," he noted.
